What Is It?
The ALPS incorporates the new patent pending automatic lock protection system (ALPS). This system protects the ALPS cylinder against snapping,drilling and manipulation. Unlike all competitors 3* cylinders the ALPS gives the optimum security as soon as the key has been removed and is not reliant on the cylinder being snapped or attacked to activate a blocking pin, that may not fire depending on the force used in snapping.
On key removal the ALPS remains in its optimum security mode automatically locking the cam thus ALWAYS PROTECTING AGAINST SNAP ATTACK, MANIPULATION OR DRILLING. This prevents any external entry via the cylinder without the key, after an attack the cylinder remains operational enabling emergency egress.
The ALPS cylinder has been tested to BSEN1303 2015 , BS TS007 :2014+A1:2015, SS312 Diamond Sold Secure and is BSI Kitemark certified under license number KM 597142. The Cylinder has been cycle tested to over 55,000 cycles and salt spray tested to over 240 hours. The ALPS cylinder is available in standard key and key and turn option but will shortly be available in Pin/pin +magnet and pin/pin+ magnet +Interactive from a flat key profile.
